I know the spelling might not always be right .. And the grammar might be all over the place at time but this is the facts to think about before pointing anything out that is wrong … I DO NOT care !! Sadly the trip up to Dave & Anne’s had to be cut short due to work commitments … But that is not to say it was not enjoyable to say the least … Chilling out in the “Lets Go Scotland” office with the madam of online shopping and what now seems to be a farming policeman is always wonderful … Although we knew nothing of the moat that Dave & Anne were going be having installed around their castle on our final day there, which did turn into “It is all go at Dave & Anne’s place” and I am sure will be one of the stories we relive in future visits..! *Photos of the moat below*

Monday was a cracking day at Broom fisheries with my mate Dave H. We fished back to back him fishing on Queensberry and me on Bruce’s Acre. For me the was not very good at all loosing two really good fish and only landing a tiny roach .. The day really belonged to Dave who was banging into fish more of the day landing a few nice F1 carp, bream and a chub … Not forgetting what had to be a specimen gudgeon and there I was thinking I would get to take home the smallest fish of the session trophy and Dave goes and lands the bloody gudgeon! But it was a chilled out day in what is now becoming one of my top 5 fishing spots … John owner of Broom always finds the time to have a chat and give us a few pointers on what is fishing well and what pegs ..

Past, present and future is this weeks topic really …
Past – Meeting up with an old X girlfriend of Mine Zoe … And when I say old X girlfriend I am talking 23 years ago! 
It has been really good catching up with her and all the goings on in her life and it is nice to know she is still as mad as she always really was back when we were both young.. She has grown up just a little as I am sure you can see by the photo over there >
If things go ok it also looks like there might be a future project with Kirsten who is Zoe’s daughter. But will go into that a little more in the future .. Will have to see what pans out really …
Present – Well the BCAA meeting at Bradford on Wed night went a lot better then both me and Wayne expected and we managed to come away from the meeting with some good ideas of what can be done to help Jim & Mike push things into the future that makes more sense on a business level… Finally meeting the Committee was also interesting .. but once again in a good way!
Big Ben was stabbed in the leg by a fisherman at Addingham … Once I found out he was ok I could not help myself really lol about it .. The idea what someone stabbed Ben and got away unharmed was funny but then it turnout to be a fisherman … He is ok as far as I can tell, just his pride that was hurt due to the fact that he could not kick the fishermans head in due to having his ill father with him (Ben’s father… not the fishermans!) Police are still looking into the whole thing so let the boys in suits deal with first … Will be interesting if Ben finds out who the fisherman was and where he lives!
Future – It is looking good really … loads of projects in the planning stages … New WYRCC website going live today .. well maybe tomorrow now!
Going back up to Amisfield at the end of this month to do some fishing with Dave and spend time with Anne and the kids … The plan is to have a bit of a chill out before the madness that is November starts ..
“What we doing for Christmas?” is one of the questions I have been asking for a while now and people just keep saying “Shut up, we not there yet?” Well people … We are nearly there now and I want a plan in place to make it nice and chilled this year!

Many people have thought that I did a photoshop job on the photo of my personal best pike that I caught in 2000 on the River Aire at Cononley. So I thought it time to add the full set of photos from that capture of Big “S”. I called it big “S” due to the fact it was caught on a big S bend on the river. Big “S” scaled at 32lb and photos were taken by Bobby who sadly is no longer an fishing.
