U9 Wharfedale Rugby Team – New Recruits from Grassington School.

The Under – 9′s Wharfedale Rugby team has now been strengthened by three pupils from Grassington Primary School.

Michael Robinson, Thomas Carlisle and Harrison Ward are now regular members of the U 9′s team.Following their first victory against Skipton two weeks ago, they went on to defeat Bradford Old Broadleans last weekend.

However, yesterday they took on the might of Wensleydale – and found that both the cheese and ‘Wallace & Gromit” must have helped focus the minds of the visitors.

So an honorable draw was the best that could be achieved.

Well done to our lads and lets hope they are all fit for the game next weekend against Bath!

Council spend ££££££’s on relaying block paving across the Hebden Road ready for resurfacing, but don’t care about the safety of Grassington children by not providing a school crossing!

We would like to welcome Mr M Mc Rusty who has just become the new Chair of School Governors – but is he already turning into a real life clown!

Taken during the last Governors meeting Mr Mc Rusty clearly has that ‘charismatic’ charm and poise needed for the position!
