September 5th 2003
Been a real busy summer here at Ruf Beats. Firstly
I want to thank those companies that chose to keep
sending me records, nice one. I’ve played some
very, very bizarre anti war events in the last few
months, seeing Mark Thomas in his wife’s dress
outside US NSA Menwith Hill in Yorkshire was top
banana. Great to see some music reflecting these
strange days too, big up all the great artists
saying something and not letting the cynical,
critical press get to them for standing up for
what they believe in. Special mentions in this
area must go to Blur, 3D, Life and Michael Franti.
My book “9-11 was a joke” is coming together
slowly but it has been a bit like peeling an
onion… layer after layers and a few tears shed etc
but I feel I’ve not only got a very good idea that
went on that day but that the bigger picture has
started to be revealed. After a few months chasing
crop circles, meeting alien abductee’s etc life
has started getting very strange but I’ve always
thought fact was stranger than fiction anyway…
it’s certainly more interesting to. Man if only I
had a Scully come and help me investigate the
dark, that would be nice, kinda like XXX files.
Taking a break from the label for a while to learn
this new 24 track digital … dare I say it
“computerised” (Yikes !!!) studio. I hope to have
my new RUFMOUTH material out next year to coincide
with the book and the launch of a huge new
original website (more news at 11 folks).
On the gig side things have got really busy again.
Despite not being booked for either Glastonbury or
tribal gathering, I still went to both, admittedly
though, the Glastonbury gig I went to was all
UFO’s, Crop Circles and Sacred Geometry, and
Tribal Gathering I had to go as a punter… ha well
Gerald and UFO yes, yes, yes but a bit sad seeing
the Scratch Pervs and Yoda reduced to playing
jiggy crowd pleasers and gimmicks. Never mind
maybe they just don’t get the Warehouse idea!
However I have played Oxford, Stoke, Newcastle,
Bristol recently. I also have got a new night “the
Funk Soul Brothers” with DJ Stan Lee @ debees in
Winsford (Mid Cheshire don’t you know) and a
regular Thursday gig in ManchestO… lucking forward
soon to getting more proper RUFMOUTH shows – first
hour is me dropping beats and rhymes along with
humorous knowledge and facts about this New World
Ordeuf thing, before launching into a JEEP BEAT
type party rocking eclectic set, heavy on either
hip hop or breaks depending on where I’m swinging
it and what’s in my way. Anyway thanks again
folks… stay tuned… the revolution will not be
televised… first contact will be before 2012 and
don’t worry I have it on good authority that only
the ignorant will be killed… whilst this means
losing some of our collective oneness… it also
means in the words of the immortal Bill Hicks
“Hurray… good… we lost another moron, hey I can

COLLECTIVE… how de hell did we get in there I hear you

Not read this yet but knowing their last train

JEEP BEAT were in too, punk!) it is bound to be a mad
